Tips for Making the Best Frozen Cocktails

It’s summer and whether you’re cruising on your superyacht to the Caribbean, sunbathing on the patio or firing up the grill, a refreshing frozen drink will help you beat the heat!

As we never settle for less than the best, here are some tips to help you create the frozen cocktails like you’d find at a five-star resort or a luxury poolside bar:

Use Fresh Ingredients
Fruit, herbs and other fresh ingredients will make your frozen cocktails taste better and add flavor to your drinks. Canned and bottled ingredients can contain preservatives and artificial flavors that can negatively affect the taste of your cocktail.

Use the Right Blender
To ensure a smooth, perfectly blended cocktail, you will want a high-speed blender that can crush ice and mix ingredients quickly. Blendtec, Wolf and Bartesian make some pro-quality blenders for the home.

Pre-Chill Your Glassware
Pre-chilling your glassware can help keep your frozen cocktails cold for longer. Place your glasses in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving your drinks.

Use Enough Ice
Using an ample amount of ice is essential for making a good frozen cocktail. The more ice you use, the thicker and colder your drink will be. Pro tip is to use crushed ice as it blends more easily and creates a smoother texture.

Garnish Your Drinks
Garnishing your drinks can add an extra touch of flavor along with visual appeal. You can use fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, or edible flowers as garnish, as well. There are so many options! And don’t forget your drink umbrella!

Cheers to a summer filled with delicious frozen cocktails!
