The 2023 Masters Tournament is the first major tournament of the year and the 87th edition in 2023, scheduled to be played from April 6-9 at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. After a day on the course, here are 3 top golfing inspired vodka cocktails to tee up.  

The Azalea

Every April beautiful pink flowers bloom in Augusta at the National Golf Club, and they inspired the Azalea, the unofficial cocktail of the Masters Tournament. 

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Grenadine

Steps to Make It: Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 15-30 seconds. Strain into a tall glass over fresh ice. 


The John Daly

A combination of lemonade, iced tea and vodka, this popular drink was created in Fort Myers, Florida at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course. It is the spiked version of an Arnold Palmer. 

  • 1.5 oz. Yacht Life Vodka
  • 2 oz Iced Tea
  • 2 oz Lemonade 

Steps to Make It: Fill a highball glass with ice. Add all ingredients. Gently stir. Garnish with a lemon slice.


The Hole in One with a Twist

There have been 33 holes-in-one in the history of the Masters Tournament. This cocktail is usually made with scotch, but we thought we’d shake it up with a Vodka twist. 

  • 1.5 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • ¾ oz Sweet Vermouth
  • ½ tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Dash Orange Bitters 
  • 1 Orange Slice

Steps to Make It: Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake for 15-30 seconds. Pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with an orange slice.

The Sundeck Spritz

Light, bright, and dangerously easy to drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • Sparkling water
  • Lemon wheel + fresh mint

Directions

Add vodka, lemon juice, and elderflower liqueur over ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with mint and lemon.

The Palm Beach Martini

A cleaner, citrus-forward martini with a coastal feel.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth
  • Grapefruit peel
  • Olive or lemon twist

Directions:

Stir over ice until ice cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Express grapefruit peel over the top before serving.

Yacht Life Espresso Martini

Because some summer nights shouldn’t end early.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1 oz espresso
  • 0.75 oz coffee liqueur
  • 0.5 oz vanilla syrup

Directions:

Shake aggressively with ice until frothy. Strain into a coupe glass.
Optional: garnish with dark chocolate shavings or a few espresso beans.

The Mediterranean Mule

Fresh and made for hot weather.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • Ginger beer
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Basil leaves
  • Cucumber slices

Directions:

Muddle basil lightly. Add vodka and lime juice over ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with cucumber ribbons.

 

The Yacht Club Lemonade

Simple, Cold and Perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • Fresh lemonade
  • Splash of sparkling water
  • Frozen strawberries or lemon slices

Directions:

Build over crushed ice and stir gently.
