When the weather gets cold, the jet set gets moving, often to yachting hot spots like the Caribbean and of course our Yacht Life hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but even Florida is hitting cooler temperatures this year! If you can’t escape the cold, have no fear. We have some hot vodka cocktails you can make at home to stay warm!

Blue Vodka Spritzer Inspired by Avatar the Way of the Water

When a film can transport you to another world entirely, it needs a special cocktail to match - and in the case of an Avatar inspired cocktail - it HAS to be blue. This Blue Vodka Spritzer is a little sweet, a little sour and a lot of fun for an Oscars inspired party.

  • 1 oz. Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
  • 4oz. Lemonade
  • 2 oz. Sprite
  • Ice

Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour the vodka, blue curacao and lemonade directly into the glass and stir. Top off with the sprite.

1. A Hot Version of a Timeless Classic

The White Russian was originally inspired by the Black Russian in 1949, with the addition of cream. It regained popularity and mainstream attention after it was portrayed in the popular 1998 film The Big Lebowski, in which the protagonist sipped on it regularly. As always, Yacht Life Vodka loves tradition with a twist and we suggest you turn the traditionally iced White Russian into a toasty beverage by topping it off with freshly brewed coffee of your choice.

  • 2 OZ Yacht Life Vodka
  • 2 Oz Coffee Liqueur
  • 2 OZ whole milk
  • Freshly brewed coffee
  • Whipped cream, if desired

Heat your choice of coffee liqueur, whole milk, and Yacht Life Vodka over a saucepan on medium heat. Be sure not to let it boil. Once warm, ladle the cocktail into a mug and top it off with freshly brewed coffee and whipped cream.

A Twist on a Toddy

Hold off on the bourbon and swap for some Yacht Life Vodka with this unique spin on the Hot Toddy. Since it was first conceived in the eighteenth century in Scotland, the cocktail has proven to be a popular beverage of choice during the colder months. We advocate for using black tea in the cocktail which also provides antioxidants to help keep your immune system up to par during a season when it’s most vulnerable!

  • 2 OZ Yacht Life Vodka
  • Hot Water
  • 2 tsps. or 1 bag of Black Tea
  • 1 Lemon Wedge
  • 1 tsp organic, raw honey
  • Lemon slice, cinnamon stick, and cloves for garnish if desired

In a small saucepan or tea pot, heat water over medium-heat to bring to a boil. Once it boils, take it off the heat. In a large mug, pour in the water, add your tea and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and stir in the honey until it dissolves. Add in the juice of 1 lemon wedge, 2 oz of Yacht Life Vodka, and a cinnamon stick or cloves for garnish.
