Cinematic Pairings with Yacht Life Vodka

As we head towards the 2024 Oscars, Hollywood’s biggest night, Yacht Life Vodka celebrates the creativity and storytelling prowess of film, and in celebration honor of this grand event, we've curated a unique experience that pairs 5 of the nominated movies with an innovative vodka cocktail. Take a look at the pairings below and let us know if you shake up your evening with one of our picks.

1. FILM: AMERICAN FICTION

COCKTAIL PAIRING: THE WRITER’S BLOCK

  • 1.5 oz. Yacht Life Vodka
  • .5 oz. Amaretto
  • Dash of Angostura Bitters

Add all ingredients into glass over block or sphere ice and stir.

2. FILM: ANATOMY OF A FALL 

COCKTAIL PAIRING: BLINDSIDED

  • 2 oz. Yacht Life Vodka
  • 2 oz. Orange Juice
  • 2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 oz. Strawberry Syrup

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Strain over fresh ice.

3. FILM: BARBIE

COCKTAIL: THE PINK MALIBU

1.5 oz. Yacht Life Vodka

  • 1 oz. Dragon Fruit Simple Syrup
  • Sparkling Lemonade
  • Ice
  • Edible Glitter (optional)

Add ice, syrup and vodka into a shaker over ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Pour into a glass. Top with lemonade. Sprinkle with edible glitter for an extra “Barbie” touch!

4. FILM: OPPENHEIMER

COCKTAIL: OPPENHEIMER’S FAVORITE MARTINI

Typically done with gin, this is oppenheimer’s famous martini with a yacht life twist*

  • 2.5 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • .5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • Lime Juice
  • Honey

Stir together equal parts honey and lime juice and dip the rim of a chilled martini. Shake or stir the vodka and vermouth with ice in a shaker until chilled. Then strain into the martini glass. Don’t forget to add Oppenheimer’s favorite toast, “To the confusion of our enemies!”

 5. FILM: KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON

COCKTAIL: THE MOONRISE

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1 oz. Raspberry Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz. Lemonade
  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon

Add ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with a lemon twist.

The Sundeck Spritz

Light, bright, and dangerously easy to drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • Sparkling water
  • Lemon wheel + fresh mint

Directions

Add vodka, lemon juice, and elderflower liqueur over ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with mint and lemon.

The Palm Beach Martini

A cleaner, citrus-forward martini with a coastal feel.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth
  • Grapefruit peel
  • Olive or lemon twist

Directions:

Stir over ice until ice cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Express grapefruit peel over the top before serving.

Yacht Life Espresso Martini

Because some summer nights shouldn’t end early.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • 1 oz espresso
  • 0.75 oz coffee liqueur
  • 0.5 oz vanilla syrup

Directions:

Shake aggressively with ice until frothy. Strain into a coupe glass.
Optional: garnish with dark chocolate shavings or a few espresso beans.

The Mediterranean Mule

Fresh and made for hot weather.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • Ginger beer
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Basil leaves
  • Cucumber slices

Directions:

Muddle basil lightly. Add vodka and lime juice over ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with cucumber ribbons.

 

The Yacht Club Lemonade

Simple, Cold and Perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yacht Life Vodka
  • Fresh lemonade
  • Splash of sparkling water
  • Frozen strawberries or lemon slices

Directions:

Build over crushed ice and stir gently.
